DEALING WITH 'PASSENGERS'
Students adopted their roles and it was great to watch how their interactions changed as they assumed personas. We talked about how some of the roles became 'sit back' ones and some students were not as engaged as others. You could do some thought around creating more engaging roles for each student and giving more responsibilities.
CHOOSING WISELY
Some students are really shy and you'll get this with whatever class you teach. It's really important that they are put in a group (as best you can) that they will feel comfortable in. That's not so much about the task though, more about the individual students. You need to be responsive to your learners.
